March is a transition month from winter to spring. Still cold, but blooms and sunshine are peaking in! Smoothies with seasonal fruits and vegetables could be your breakfast, lunch or snack.. We’ll use avocado as the main star and feel free to adjust ingredients to your taste star
Moroccan avocado smoothie (with a twist)
1 large ripe avocado
1 large ripe banana
2 cups almond milk
6 pitted dates (medium size)
1/2 handful blanched almonds
1 teaspoon of cocoa nibs
Blend all ingredients well. Add cocoa nibs as last so they still remain crunchy.
Avocado orange smoothie
1 large ripe avocado
1 large ripe banana
1 orange (juice + zest)
1 tablespoon of yogurt of your choice
Blend all ingredients well. Top up with extra orange zest.
Fresh smoothie
1 large ripe avocado
2 ripe kiwi fruits
1/2 handful of fresh mint leaves
1/2 cup water
Blend all ingredients well and enjoy.
